An early SA dagger M33 by Rudolf Schmidt, Solingen, in very good condition.

The bright blade on this example is in excellent, almost perfect condition. The crossgrain shines beautifully in the light, and the dark, crisp acid-etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto remains well defined. On the ricasso there is the maker’s mark — an octagonal logo with the inscription “RUDOLF SCHMIDT” and “SOLINGEN” at the bottom, with the manufacturer’s emblem in the center — clearly visible and well struck. The blade shows only minor marks from the scabbard springs. The blade shoulders perfectly match the contour of the lower crossguard, and the tip comes to a fine point. Overall, the blade rates near mint.

The crossguard is reverse-marked “Ns” (Niedersachsen). All metal fittings retain their original nickel-plated finish.

The grip is in excellent condition with no damage or cracks. The scabbard has no dents; most of the original finish is still preserved, showing only minor signs of age and natural patina. The dagger comes complete with a leather hanger.

An attractive early SA dagger by the well-known manufacturer Rudolf Schmidt, Solingen, and a fine addition to any serious collection.
