For sale is an original WWII-era German Kriegsmarine dagger hanger. The straps are made of durable fabric with a black velvet backing, showing excellent preservation. It features two large lion-head buckles made of zinc, retaining their full gold finish. The hanger is equipped with four suspension clips: three aluminum and one zinc clip with an attached chain and S-hook — a typical wartime configuration.
Included are two additional lion-head zinc belt buckles that were used to attach the hanger to the naval uniform belt. The overall condition is excellent with all original components intact. The only note is that the hanger was shortened during its period of use by the original owner for more comfortable wear. It wasn’t cut, but carefully re-stitched.
