Steel trench combat knife with black painted finish from the period of World War I by Carl Eickhorn.
Blade is in excellent condition and has never been sharpened. Early maker’s mark present — two squirrels sitting back to back, with the initials “CE” below, representing Carl Eickhorn.
Handle is black with wooden grip plates. The plates are in excellent condition, without damage.
Scabbard is in excellent condition with original paint. Most of the black finish has been preserved. It includes a leather belt loop for attachment.
An excellent piece for any collection.
