A K98 Bayonet by Coppel G.m.b.H., dated 1940, complete with frog and scabbard. The blade is in excellent condition, retaining its original factory blueing. The ricasso is stamped with the manufacturer's mark "Coppel G.m.b.H. 1940", while the reverse side features the serial number "777". Such a visually striking and symmetrical number is highly sought after by collectors. The scabbard also bears the matching serial number "777", which is a rare and very desirable match. Finding a bayonet with a scabbard featuring such a beautiful and rare number combination is exceptionally difficult. Both the scabbard and frog are in excellent condition, with the scabbard retaining its original blueing, free of dents or scratches. The overall preservation of this set is outstanding and examples like this are increasingly hard to find.
