Antique Japanese tsuba (sword guard), Edo period (17th–18th century, approx.). Made of iron with engraved decoration. One side shows a butterfly, while the reverse depicts floral designs above and below.
Round to slightly oval shape (maru-gata), with two hitsu-ana. Likely work in the Shoami tradition (attribution tentative). Good antique condition with natural patina, no modern restoration.
