For sale is an early Hitler Youth knife with motto, manufactured by Ed. Wusthof, Solingen.
The blade is clearly marked “Ed. Wusthof, Solingen” and features the company’s distinctive trademark in the form of a trident enclosed within a circle. The blade remains unsharpened and retains both the original manufacturer’s mark and the Hitler Youth motto, “Blut und Ehre!” (“Blood and Honor!”). The original factory cross-graining is also preserved on the blade, an important indication that it has not been polished or otherwise refinished.
The grip is fitted with the original enameled Hitler Youth diamond insignia, which is completely intact and free from damage. The insignia exhibits the slight movement characteristic of the original factory mounting, a feature commonly found on untouched examples.
The scabbard retains its original factory finish, with no signs of repainting, restoration, or alteration. The leather shows only light signs of age and use while remaining soft, supple, and fully intact.
This knife is in outstanding original condition, with no repairs or restoration, making it an excellent example for the serious collector of historical militaria.
