Royal Baden Hunting Dagger.
Straight single-edged blade with a false edge, finely engraved with hunting trophies; a minimal trace of age is present at the very tip, which does not affect the visual appeal or the collectible value of the piece. Gilt bronze hilt featuring the crowned coat of arms of Baden among oak branches on the shell guard, with the quillon, quillon block, and pommel decorated en suite; deer horn grip. Leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts, hook decorated with acorns. The blade bears the manufacturer’s mark — a squirrel in a circle — indicating early production by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. This mark confirms the dagger belongs to the early period of the maker’s output. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition. A rare opportunity to add such a unique and superbly preserved item to your collection. Origin: Baden. Dimensions: length 57 cm.
Dating: last quarter of the 19th century.
