An original decorative ceramic plate from the Third Reich period, presumably produced as a commemorative or award piece associated with an NSRL / DRL sporting event in the city of Breslau (now Wrocław, Poland).
The obverse features a relief eagle with period historical symbolism, with the inscription “Breslau 1938” below, which most likely refers to a sports festival or ceremonial event. Similar items are associated with the large Deutsches Turn- und Sportfest, held in Breslau in 1938.
The plate is made of ceramic and finished in an attractive warm brown-bronze glaze with a well-defined relief design. The reverse retains its original hanging loop for wall display, making it suitable as an interior collectible display piece.
The diameter is approximately 23 cm.
The condition is excellent for its age: the relief is sharp and well defined, and the glaze is well preserved with no damage or cracks.
This item is of particular interest to collectors of historical memorabilia, militaria, sports-related artifacts, and rare pre-war decorative wall pieces.
