An exceptionally rare German badge from the First World War period dedicated to Imperial German pilots. The piece was intended for wear on civilian clothing and is designed in the form of an aircraft propeller with an Imperial pilot’s badge beneath the royal crown at the center.
The item is made of solid 800 silver, confirmed by “800” hallmarks located on the reverse of the propeller as well as on the pin clasp. The badge features high-quality craftsmanship and a classic design characteristic of early German military aviation memorabilia.
Badge dimensions: 52 mm x 19 mm.
Such accessories belong to the category of rare patriotic and commemorative aviation jewelry from the First World War era and are seldom encountered on today’s collector market, especially in such well-preserved condition.
The piece remains in excellent collectible condition with an attractive natural silver patina. A very rare and impressive collector’s item that would make an outstanding addition to any collection of Imperial German aviation, militaria, or WWI-era insignia.
