Rare original box for the Luftwaffe Combined Pilot/Observer Badge.
The box is made of cardboard and covered in blue paper. On the lid, the exterior features a gold-lettered inscription:
“Luftwaffe Flugzeugführer- u. Beobachter-Abzeichen”
The interior of the lid was originally lined with velvet-like paper, which has partially degraded over time. Remnants of the original interior covering remain, as well as a fabric spacer between the lid and the base of the box.
The underside of the box is covered in black paper.
The box is in good overall condition with no serious damage. An excellent addition to the Luftwaffe pilot/observer badge.
