A highly rare Army Paratrooper Badge (Fallschirmschützenabzeichen des Heeres), manufactured by the renowned Berlin firm C.E. Juncker. Struck in silver, bearing the “800” silver content mark on the reverse of the eagle, the badge features a solid oval wreath with a finely detailed diving eagle. The original hardware is intact and untouched.
Of particular interest is the personalized inscription engraved around the rim, clearly reading “Fallschirm-Inf. Btl.” along with the name of the owner “Kassmann” and rank (“Lt.”). Such individualized engravings are extremely rare, typically associated with private purchase pieces ordered by officers or NCOs of the Fallschirm-Infanterie-Bataillon.
The condition is excellent for its age, with attractive natural patina to the silver and only minimal wear from use. All construction details correspond to original Juncker production during the Second World War.
