Small section of the RAD Hewer (Reichsarbeitsdienst) dagger hanger from the Third Reich period, designed for attachment of the dagger to the belt. It is a black leather suspension component (the smaller part of the two-piece hanger system), made of genuine leather with metal fittings. The clip and attachment hardware are made of aluminum alloy and bear manufacturer markings “A&S” (F. W. Assmann & Söhne), along with RAD acceptance stamp and date “38”. This piece is part of the RAD Hewer dagger suspension system and is used to secure the dagger hanger to the belt via a metal hook and leather loop. Original construction elements are preserved, fittings are functional, and both leather and metal show honest age-related wear in good overall condition. This small section is significantly harder to find separately than the complete set and represents a good opportunity to complete or restore a full RAD hanger system.
