The presented dagger is a high-quality post-war copy of the Technische Nothilfe (TeNo) dagger, accurately reproducing the external appearance and main construction features of the original example. The hilt, yellow trolon grip, scabbard, and decorative elements are made in full accordance with the historical prototype. A maker’s mark and serial number 1205 are present, positioned in the same manner as on original pieces.
The blade is in very good condition, mirror bright, with a sharp needle-like tip. The reverse side features a deeply etched composition with the TeNo eagle and the Carl Eickhorn maker’s symbolism. The black leather blade buffer at the base of the blade is present.
An original World War II period dagger is currently valued at over €6000. The presented example is virtually indistinguishable from the original in appearance and represents an excellent option for collectors who are unable or unwilling to purchase an authentic wartime dagger, yet wish to meaningfully enhance their collection.
