Portepee for kriegsmarine officer’s dagger (late-model)
Original late-model portepee for a Kriegsmarine officer’s dagger, made from football-metallized metallic thread in a golden-bronze tone. Just like the early version, it was removed from the dagger with the knot still tied, and remains exactly in that now-sold condition.
Its state is outstanding, showing gentle patina and signs of age—as to be expected—yet with no damage, fraying, or tearing. Such preserved late-war examples in untouched form are exceedingly rare, making this a standout piece for serious collectors.
