Swiss M1918 bayonet for the K31 Schmidt-Rubin rifle, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen (maker’s mark on the blade). Serial number 159057 — a relatively low number, which adds to its collectible value. The blade is in excellent condition, with no nicks and never sharpened, showing only minor traces from the spring. The grip with wooden scales is intact, with no cracks, and the plain steel guard, without plating, is also in excellent condition. The scabbard is black-finished steel, perfectly straight and free of dents, with a Swiss cross stamped on the ball at the tip. The leather frog is supple, without tears, and bears clear markings on the reverse. Overall length approx. 45 cm, blade length approx. 30 cm. The set is preserved in superb collectible condition.
