This is an excellent example of the Swiss Model 1943 Officer’s Dagger, complete with the original scabbard and red/white portepee. As with other examples we have seen, it is marked on the blade ricasso with serial number 11623, a very short and rare number, typical of the 1944 production period. The maker is marked on the other side as Elsener Schwyz. The blade is in perfect condition and clearly shows the original factory transverse cross-graining (frosted finish).
The dagger is in perfect “MINT” condition, near impossible to upgrade. A nice item for a collection or as a gift.
