Aluminum NSFK (National Socialist Flying Corps) dagger manufactured by F. & A. Helbig. A textbook Helbig production featuring the blue painted grip and scabbard. Aluminum crossguard and pommel nut.
The steel blade is in good condition with natural signs of age and storage.
The reverse side of the blade is etched with the F. & A. Helbig (Solingen) maker’s mark. The etching is rather weak, which is typical for this manufacturer. A blue leather buffer pad is present.
The blue painted scabbard with aluminum fittings shows minor damage. All four screws are in place. The scabbard throat is stamped with the NSFK emblem.
A black leather hanger is present and shows wear consistent with age. It is reinforced on the inside with a steel plate. At the end of the hanger is an aluminum snap clip, fully functional.
