Knight’s Cross of the War Merit Cross by Deschler & Sohn, Munich. Massive silver construction with ribbon loop. Marked on the lower arm with the PK code “1” and silver content mark “900”.
The cross is in excellent, virtually pristine condition, with a beautiful patina through which the polished swastika remains visible. It is accompanied by its original, characteristic neck ribbon from this maker, with thin sewn fastening ties at the ends for securing the decoration around the neck.
An outstanding example of this rare award, which was officially bestowed only 59 times.
