Iron Cross 2nd Class by Schauerte & Höhfeld, Lüdenscheid. Three-piece construction with soldered-on setup. Maker marked with the LDO code “L/54” on the ring. An excellent near mint example with a polished frame and a completely intact black core.
The cross comes complete with its original first-pattern case. The lid features the LDO logo, and the exterior of the case is also marked on the reverse with the same manufacturer code “L/54”, confirming a fully matching set. The case is in excellent condition.
A top-tier set that would be very difficult to upgrade and hard to find. VERY rare!!
