A miniature German helmet measuring approximately 9 cm wide and 8.5 cm high in the style of pre-war “wedding helmets” or “helmets for newlyweds.” Such helmets were used for conducting wedding ceremonies in the absence of the groom serving in the military: the bride would place her hand on the helmet and recite the marriage vows. This practice was officially approved by the NSDAP government and helped avoid disruptions when many young men were at the front. The helmet features two decals – an eagle with a swastika on one side and the German flag on the other. The miniature helmet is mounted on a marble base without damage, and the helmet itself is in excellent condition. This item is a unique example of German military history and was originally intended as a symbolic wedding accessory, now perfectly suited for display on a desk or in a collection.
