Officer's saber of the Third Reich (World War II), original by Puma, Solingen. The grip is made of wood with black celluloid coating in excellent condition, tightly wrapped with triple aluminum wire, the central part twisted. The guard is brass, gilded, featuring an image of a closed-winged army eagle facing left, with finely detailed eyes, beak, feathers, legs, and a raised swastika (historical element of the artifact). The blade is made of Damascus steel and is in perfect condition. The ricasso bears markings on both sides: on one side the inscription "Puma Solingen," on the other the head of a puma in a diamond with the inscription "Puma Solingen." The scabbard is original, black in color, straight, with slight spiderwebbing and signs of wear on the paint. The saber retains about 95% of its original bright gilding, characteristic of Puma products. The original leather blade buffer and portepee are also in excellent condition. The item is in collector’s condition with minor signs of use. This is a rare and high-quality piece intended exclusively for historical weapon collectors.
