A superb example of a Third Reich German Army officer’s parade sword, known as the "Feldmarschall Model Wrangel", manufactured by the renowned maker Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. This piece belongs to Eickhorn’s prestigious Feldmarschall Series, a line of high-quality officer swords named after famous German military leaders and intended for senior-ranking personnel. The "Wrangel" model is one of the most elegant in the series, known for its refined design and rich detailing. The sword is in outstanding, near-mint condition, retaining full original gilding on the hilt and guard. The detail on the stylized Wehrmacht eagle with swastika is exceptionally sharp and clean. The grip is constructed of wood, covered in black celluloid, and wrapped with high-quality silver wire, including a central twisted strand, offering an elegant contrast and excellent grip texture. The blade is bright, mirror-polished, and bears the Carl Eickhorn maker's mark, featuring the iconic squirrel logo. The original black-painted scabbard is in excellent condition, free from dents or deformations, and retains nearly all of its factory finish. All brass or alloy fittings are richly gilt, showing no signs of wear or oxidation. This is a textbook and highly collectible example of a high-ranking Wehrmacht officer’s dress sword from Eickhorn’s premium Feldmarschall Wrangel line, rarely seen in such pristine condition. A fine addition to any edged weapon or WWII militaria collection.
