An original Third Reich German Army officer’s sword featuring a distinctive dove head pommel and a leather finger loop. Maker: Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Maker’s mark: squirrel over sword.
The sword is in exceptional collector’s condition. The crossguard and metal fittings of the hilt retain their original gilding, which remains bright and vibrant. The grip is covered in black celluloid and decorated with beautiful gold-coloured wire wrapping.
The blade is in superb condition, clean and bright, with no spots.
The metal scabbard retains approximately 98% of its original black lacquer. The lacquer is in excellent condition, without defects.
