Original and exceptionally well-preserved HJ Student Bund knife, a transitional model produced by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The blade features the classic Eickhorn “squirrel with sword” logo, along with the RZM code M7/66 and the number "39" on the ricasso, indicating 1939 production during the period when both maker and RZM marks were applied. The blade retains its original factory grind and has never been re-sharpened. Handle grips and the enamel diamond emblem are completely intact with no damage. Guard and pommel are tight and secure, with no play. The scabbard retains its original black paint with only minor wear, and the leather belt loop remains soft and pliable — a rare condition detail. This variant, attributed to the HJ Student Bund (National Socialist Students’ League), is significantly rarer than the standard HJ knife and highly sought after by collectors. A true, authentic transitional example, very difficult to find in such complete and original condition.
