Offered for sale is an original early K98 student dress bayonet manufactured by Emil Voos, Solingen. This is a highly scarce variant fitted with the student enamel insignia on the grip (red–white–black enamel, intact, without chips).

The blade is nickel/chrome plated, in excellent condition, mirror finish, without nicks. The reverse is clearly stamped with the Emil Voos trademark featuring the well-known serpent logo. Crossguard and pommel are likewise nickel-plated, showing only light traces of age. The black bakelite grips are undamaged, tight, and complete. The enamel insignia is slightly movable when pressed, exactly as expected for this type of mounting.

A leather buffer pad is present at the base of the blade. The scabbard remains straight, free of dents, with honest wear from use. The red felt insert in the scabbard throat is still intact. Included is the original leather frog (hanger), worn but complete, with a cloth insert inside bearing the stitched initials E.W.. The set is further complemented by the original troddel/knot, which shows wear and age but remains presentable.

This piece represents a very rare early student dress bayonet with authentic insignia and early Emil Voos marking — a true collector’s example in overall excellent condition, complete with scabbard, frog, and knot.
