Early SA dagger M33 by C.g. Haenel Waffen und Fahrrad Fabrik, in very good condition.
The blade is in excellent condition, almost perfect, but shows slight darkening near the guard and minor marks from the scabbard springs. The blade also has the factory transverse gross-grading. The blade shoulders perfectly match the contour of the lower crossguard. The crossguard is reverse marked “SA” (Saxony). All metal fittings retain their original nickel-plated finish. The grip is in ideal condition, with no damage or cracks. The scabbard has no dents and has retained its original finish, showing only light age-related wear and a natural patina.
An attractive early SA dagger by the well-known and desirable manufacturer C.g. Haenel Waffen und Fahrrad Fabrik (Suhl, Thuringia), and a fine addition to any serious collection.
