Early Hitler Youth Knife with Motto – J.A. Henckels, Solingen
The blade is in mint condition, with no evidence of sharpening. The original factory crossgraining is clearly visible on the surface. The motto “Blut und Ehre!” (“Blood and Honour!”) is etched on one side of the blade. The other side bears the manufacturer's trademark featuring two figures, along with the markings “J.A. Henckels, Solingen, Zwillingswerk” and “Ges. Geschützt”.
The handle is in good condition, showing natural signs of age. The enamel Hitler Youth diamond is well preserved. It is secured by its original factory fitting and has slight movement when gently rocked.
The scabbard retains its original factory paint, with no touch-ups or alterations. The leather belt loop shows light signs of age and wear.
Overall, the knife is in excellent collector's condition, with well-preserved original components and finish. An attractive example for any collection of WWII German Hitler Youth knives.
