A very rare and collectible LDO case designed for the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class with the 1939 clasp (Combo).
The case is made of wood, covered on the outside with textured paper resembling leather.
The interior base is lined with black velvet to securely hold the award, and the lid is finished with white silk featuring the gold-stamped LDO logo (Leistungsgemeinschaft der Deutschen Ordenshersteller).
The clasp is fully functional, and the hinge works smoothly.
This set is designed for a screw-back Iron Cross and clasp, often referred to as a Combo.
