Heer Army Officer’s Dagger by J.A. Henckels, Solingen
This is an outstanding and exceptionally attractive example of a Heer Army Officer’s Dagger, manufactured by J.A. Henckels, Solingen.
The blade is in excellent condition and retains its beautiful original luster. The maker’s mark is applied to the ricasso and consists of an image of two figures, with the inscription “J.A. Henckels Solingen” below.
The grip of this exceptionally attractive dagger is stunning. It has a beautiful orange-yellow tone with light signs of use. The metal fittings have developed a beautiful patina and remain very well preserved.
The dagger is complete with its original scabbard and original suspension hanger. The scabbard is straight, with a well-preserved finish and an attractive patina that perfectly complements the grip.
Of particular interest is the combination of the well-known J.A. Henckels, Solingen maker and the excellent overall condition of the dagger. This is an exceptionally attractive example that would make a fine addition to any collection.
