An early, very rare German Army (Heer) dagger by the maker Gebrüder Heller (Marienthal, Thuringia).

The blade is steel, straight in form, bright and visually attractive, showing light, age-related darkening, fully consistent with an original period piece. The blade is well preserved, with clean lines and correct geometry.

The blade bears the original maker’s mark: Gebr. Heller Marienthal (o. Schweina/Thr.), executed in the characteristic style of the period. This marking represents the official trademark of Gebrüder Heller (Heller Brothers) of Marienthal, Thuringia, a well-known and respected manufacturer of edged weapons for military use. This mark is associated with early production and is highly valued by collectors, confirming the dagger’s authenticity and historical significance.

The dagger is fitted with a striking yellow grip, preserved in excellent condition, free from chips, cracks, delamination, or any damage. The guard and pommel are also very well preserved and display a light, attractive patina, enhancing the originality and overall appearance of the piece.

The dagger is accompanied by its original scabbard, retaining a crisp surface texture and even patina, indicative of natural aging and the absence of restoration.

This is a genuinely rare, early complete set, highly desirable among collectors of edged weapons. Such examples are extremely difficult to find on today’s market, making this dagger an outstanding and highly collectible piece.
