An excellent example of a short KS 98 single-etched dress bayonet, manufactured by Tiger, Solingen. The nickel-plated blade is in excellent condition and features acid-etched decoration on the obverse, with the inscription: "ZUR ERINNERUNG AN MEINE DIENSTZEIT" ("In memory of my time in service"), flanked by a steel helmet and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika. Both sides of the ricasso bear maker markings: one side displays the image of a tiger, while the reverse is marked “Tiger Solingen”. The hilt has nickel-plated fittings (with light speckling) and black checkered plastic grip plates in the traditional waffle pattern. Comes complete with its original black-painted steel scabbard (light surface scratches), black patent leather frog, and a staff portepee – making this a well-preserved and highly collectible set.
