SS Insignia Set – Early 1st Pattern Skull and Political Eagle
An early 1st pattern skull, worn on a visor cap, made of tombak. Known as the “jawless version” or 1st pattern, depicting a skull and crossed bones (“death’s head”) with voided eye and nose sockets. Both prongs on the reverse are intact. There are light wear marks on the nose area; silvering is partially worn, showing the tombak underneath. The set also includes an early model political eagle in silvered tombak, unmarked, with both prongs intact, in excellent condition, with minor silver wear. Overall, the set is in better than very fine condition.
