This Heer dagger by Eickhorn with distributor mark is a very rare and desirable example in excellent condition. The blade retains its full original luster and strong crossgraining, with only light traces of use and a few small spots that do not detract from its overall appeal. The obverse ricasso bears the scarce distributor marking of “A. Kuhl, Münster-Essen”, making this piece especially rare and sought after by collectors. The reverse ricasso carries the beautiful commercial-style squirrel logo of Eickhorn, Solingen, a maker renowned for producing edged weapons of the highest quality. Both markings retain their original darkening.

The grip is in excellent condition, displaying a deep dark-orange color typical of original Trylon grips, with no chips or cracks and some pleasing patina in the grooves. The crossguard eagle and swastika emblem remains sharp with fine detail, while the pommel, ferrule, and guard show an attractive, even age patina.

The dagger is complete with its original scabbard, which retains most of its original silvering with honest, even wear. The scabbard is straight, with no dents, and both suspension rings are intact.

Overall, this is a highly attractive Army officer’s dagger, made all the more rare by the presence of the distributor mark, and would make a standout addition to any advanced collection.
