Original Japanese officer’s sword Shin-guntō Type 98 (九八式軍刀) from the Second World War. The blade is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks or other damage. The handle (tsuka) is also in very good condition, complete with its original fittings. The guard (tsuba) is preserved and in place. The scabbard is made of wood covered with brown leather and remains in very good condition. A rare and authentic piece of World War II militaria, perfectly suited for serious collectors of Japanese edged weapons.
